How do I take part in Meet the Buyer as a buyer?

Register on this page and tell us what your organisation sources or finances. We match assessed small businesses in the Grow and Scale tracks to your requirements and send you a schedule of 20-minute meetings about two weeks before the summit. Participation is at your own cost.

Please note: this is not a sponsored (hosted) buyer programme. Because 2027 is the inaugural Gateway for Business Summit, buyers and funders take part at their own cost, including travel and accommodation. We will consider expanding this in future editions.

How it works

  1. Register

Tell us what you buy or finance, your supplier requirements and how many meetings you can take.

  2. We match

We shortlist businesses whose Gateway Growth Assessment fits your requirements. Matches are made on fit, not first come, first served.

  3. Approve your schedule

You receive your meeting schedule and short business profiles about two weeks before the summit.

  4. Meet on Day 2

Hold 20-minute meetings in the Business Access area. You can also host a procurement briefing for all participants.

  5. Follow up

Tell us which conversations moved forward. We report outcomes back to you and to the programme.

What you get

  • Meetings with businesses already assessed against your requirements
  • Short profiles of each business before the summit
  • The option to brief every participant on how to become your supplier
  • Outcome reporting that can support your enterprise and supplier development (ESD) programme

What we ask of you

  • Commit to a set number of meetings
  • Give each business honest feedback
  • Follow up on promising conversations within an agreed time
  • Share outcomes, such as quotes requested or contracts awarded, for reporting
